Abstract

The Mansoor Hashemi Khorasani movement is one of the emerging trends in the Mahdism arena that considers governance to be exclusive to the infallible Imams and makes no distinction between the times of the occultation and the presence of the infallible Imams. Accordingly, it views all governments, including the jurist’s governance (Faqih governance), as examples of tyrannical governments and opposes them. In this research, the theoretical foundations and the role of this movement in opposing the rule of the jurisprudent are analyzed. The research methodology is descriptive-analytical, and data collection was carried out through library research and the use of internet resources. The findings indicate that this movement, in both rational and traditional theoretical frameworks, employs both affirmative and negative methods. By presenting rational and narrative arguments, it seeks to establish the legitimacy of its movement while negating the authority of the jurist and opposing his governance.
