The Practical Role of Waiting (for Imam Mahdi) in Reconciling Conflicting Political Interests in the Islamic World

Document Type : Original Article

Abstract

The current study seeks to examine the effectiveness of the savior's waiting in resolving the conflicting political interests in the Islamic world through a descriptive and analytical method. The paper aims to try to use and apply the doctrine of waiting in political diplomacy in the Islamic world. The studies conducted in this paper are an introduction to answering the question of what are the capacities and capabilities of waiting in the management of political conflicts in the Islamic world. What is noteworthy is that this paper considers "religious convergence in understanding the doctrine of Mahdism", "conversion of waiting software into hardware", "protection of Islamic civilizational identity" and "management of political disruptions in the Islamic world" as the most important necessities of the issue of waiting in political diplomacy in the Islamic world. The findings of analyzing and combining the collected data indicate that the outputs of the application of this doctrine are "institutionalization of ideological growth-oriented and development-oriented extroverted policy", "creation of transnational responsibilities in the Islamic world" and "qualitative expansion of political convergence" which are all the keys in reconciling conflicting political interests in the Islamic world.
